Jose Oscar Olivarez
Oscar (DJ Ozky) started DJing under the tutelage of his father at the age of 10. Since then he has grown to love music and dance. Oscar Olivarez has taken professional dance lessons in hip hop, various Latin genres, as well as various country genres. Oscar Olivarez has won various dance competitions since 2017. DTROCK dancing was later formed after many people asked for lessons. Oscar Olivarez has even performed on big stages and congresses. He has played as a musician with a variety of bands including Tejano, Jazz, Salsa, and Mariachi groups. Oscar Olivarez has received his bachelors in music education from University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2020 and received his masers in music from University of Arkansas Monticello in 2021. Oscar Olivarez currently has been a certified music educator since 2020. Oscar Olivarez uses his background of music, martial arts, and education to preserve and grow Country and Tejano dancing in South Texas and Mexico under DTROCK dancing and now Rio Ramblers.

John- Carter McGehee
John-Carter was introduced to Texas Two-Step by 6 from Ma and his aunts at every family reunion and any gathering with music and room to move. Born and raised on the family ranch in Ozark, Arkansas, he learned his principles from early mornings before school training nationally-ranked stock, weekends at the sale barn, and baling hay every summer. After college, he moved to Texas with a fervor to learn from the honky tonk origins. However, he was quickly met with a lack of etiquette, sincerity, and any initiative from our community’s leaders. He decided to take matters into his own hands and created Honky Tonk Traditions, a company based solely on the idea of engaging, educating, and enrich the agrarian community. He’s currently back home in Arkansas serving his local community and seeking to gain more experience in the outliers of Tejano, clogging, and grass dances. All in hopes to reunify the remnants of the most diverse culture this world has known.

Sebastian Solis
Sebastian grew up in a home where Sunday mornings meant opening all the windows, cleaning the house, and listening to George Strait playing in the background. Country music has always been a part of his life even though he drifted away from it as he grew up. Learning how to two-step rekindled that fiery passion he had as a kid and brought him back to the music and culture he loves. Through dancing with DTROCK and later Rio Ramblers, he has found a deeper appreciation for preserving the traditions of two-step and honky tonk dancing. He loves the music, the dance, the community, and the way it brings people together.

Derika Montes
Derika began dancing at a very young age alongside her parents and tias, whether at quiinces, weddings, or simply in the living room, most often to the rhythm of cumbias. Her love for dance continued to grow throughout her school years, leading her to join dance teams in high school and college that helped build both her performance skills and passion for movement. In November 2024, Derika began traning in country and Tejano dance with DTROCK, where she quickly developed a deep passion for partner dancing and dance etiquette. In November 2025, she has began to expand her training into salsa and bachata, further deepening her love for dance and her goal of becoming a more versatile and well-rounded dancer. Since joining DTROCK, Derika has discovered how meaningful dance can be beyond just movement. The community, friendships, and joy she has found through dancing have become a special part of her life. Learning the traditional style of dancing while continuing to level up her skills has fueled her passion even more and keeps her excitd to contiue growing as a dancer.

Cely Ramirez
Cely's path started close to the Nueces River but her dancing journey began right next to the Rio Bravo, or ... Rio Grande. With half of her family living in Corpus Christi Texas and the other half in Valle Hermoso Tamaulipas, her childhood was filled with rhythms of Cumbia, Tejano, Huapangos, Country, and Norteno. She learned how to dance at weddings, Quinceneras and Posadas, soaking up all the teachings from her whole family but mainly her Mother, Father, and Grandmother. By age 7 she joined her first cheerleading team, by age 9 she joined her first Ballet Folklorico and the list goes on and on. Now as an adult, dancing is a passion that persists next to her. In 2021 she moved to Edinburg Tx to attend UTRGV, and that's where she met the friends that would invite her to her first "College Night" at her local Honky Tonk. After that she would go every Wednesday. There she slowly picked up on Two Step and Line Dancing. In November 2024 she joined DTROCK Dancing. With DTROCK she found a beautiful loving community with whom she shares love, passion, and respect for the dance floor. Now what started as a weekly activity with her college friends evolved to be a discipline that she embraces every time her boots hit that dance floor.

Beyonce Martinez
Beyonce is 22 years old. She has always loved dance but never pursued it. She started getting exposed to country dancing around 2024 and that's when she heard about DTROCK. After going to a couple of classes and taking private lessons she fell in love with dancing. She knew a bit of cumbia and bachata but never was confident in dancing it. fter dancing country almost every week she felt more confident in herself and met so many amazing people that helped her with confidence. Besides dancing she loves animals and caring for others.

Lizbeth Rubalcava
Lizbeth danced basic dance styles of regional Mexican music growing up, but met Oscar in 2017. She began learning other styles from him such as valley style Two step, salsa, bachata and more. They grew together learning traditional styles of country dancing and together do progressive Two Step, Triple Two, Polka, Waltz, etc... Aside from dancing she is a loving Mom, sister, and daughter. She takes care of her family and dogs, has an associates degree in interdisciplinary studies, and is certified nurse assistant as well (CNA). She loves Star Wars, horror movies, and TACOS!

Jorge Tovar
George Tovar started his dancing journey with Oscar (DTROCK) in 2021 at Mustangs in Weslaco. He is also a Dental Hygienist and a personal trainer as well as an accomplished drummer. He states "Before Oscar taught me how to dance I had "two left feet". He has danced in dance halls everywhere in Ft. Worth, San Antonio, Austin and all over the RGV. Country dancing is his getaway and he enjoys dancing and learning new dance moves.

Membership
To become a rambler one must reach intermediate level in DTROCK dancing's curriculum as well as abide by Honky Tonk Traditons Statutes.
